Holding My Breath

As many of you know my husband has cancer. Its Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and it’s the type that won’t get fully healed by medical science, which leaves God room to work a true miracle. Tom had a PET Scan last week. During his last check up with the oncologist the doctor found a lump on his neck. He said he didn’t think it was anything, but wanted to make sure with the PET Scan.

Working in a doctor’s office I can obtain test results without any difficulty. I purposely didn’t last week because I was teaching on Friday and Saturday for the first time in over two years and if it was bad news…well let just say I didn’t want to know. But yesterday was another story and when I got the test results I was so relieved. It said that there was no evidence of recurrent lymphoma. This is really good news. The doctor confirmed that today.

I lay hands on him when I wake up in the morning and prayer for his healing. Often I pray and I hope that the Lord is listening. Today I was able to see answer to prayer come to fruition. We have a busy calendar filled with wonderful opportunities for Tom and chemo treatments at this time would have been so difficult for him.

I know that one day after one of these PET Scans the doctor is going to tell us, “I can’t believe it! It’s a miracle, the cancer is totally gone!” Amen! But until that glorious day arrives, I celebrate the news that it hasn’t spread. I’m holding my breath no more, but just living life as it comes…one day at a time.

Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness and for answering my prayers. Thank You Lord for a good report. Amen.

I almost cried...I didn't know Tom had cancer or maybe I thought he use to...yikes, ya God does do miracles so I will pray too...thanks for praying for Josiah...and my Grandma who also has cancer...she actually has an operation on this Thursday to get her bladder sewn up as the Ovarian cancer broke into her bladder... :( But the good news IS that the tumor IS shrinking!

Dear Lord, be with Tom and Nadine right now, heal the stress and the cancer from them both...oh Lord...search their ways and know their hearts, Holy Spirit sweep through them and blow any hinderances away and give them a renewed life...Amen!

I fell so silly, so self-centered,so small telling you about MY pains and worries when I read yours! Forgive me if at any time I have come across as me centered. God bless you with the supernatural strength that is needed to go through what you are going through as the wife and lover of a cancer "victim".

I did not know Tom had cancer. Thank God that it is not spreading. My mom had kidney cancer with surgery they were able to remove it but, it was a scary time for all of us. this is just making the verse in Psalms more realto me Psalm 118:8
It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man..
I am learning everyday something new.
Bless you both

Nadine, thank you for your comment on my blog. Being grateful is truly the key! And yes, He always meets us in those places that we are fearful to enter into...and He sheds Light in order for us to see!!

God is so good! Have a scrumptious, happy, joyful day!

Oh, that's so beautiful! God is so good and He is faithful. I think He loves to show up when people doubt Him otherwise... so that His name can be Praised. If you've read my story, my son was just almost 3 yrs old when we were told he'd probably be in an institution for the rest of his life. I didn't accept that and knew God had much bigger plans for him. Praise God he is completley healed today and living life like a normal 6 yr old!

Nadine,
Praise God! Don't you love it when God shows off for us? I am continually amazed at the number of miracles people miss in their lives because they are too afraid to ask or think that God would not want to be bothered with their request! I pray God continues to reveal his healing grace and mercy to Tom!

Also, thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I hope you enjoyed it!

Blessings!
