Not a Tomato in Sight

I promised to let you all know how my first time preaching went. It went well and there was not a tomato in sight. No one fell asleep. These are all good signs. Many people told me they enjoyed it. I felt good about it and I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow in this area. Thank you honey for stretching me and I love you for it.

I have a very busy week ahead and will be in touch. Happy 4th of July.

You did a great job yesterday, I was so very proud of you. Some people preach, others teach, you my dear tell great stories, kinda reminds me of Jesus, he'd tell a good story to make His point. I loved watching you just be you - and so did everyone else. I can hardly wait for next time!

I love you,
Tom

Good to know this Nadine.

Does 'Not a Tomato in Sight' means no one falls asleep? I find this very interesting :D

Congrats on tomato-less-ness and lack of sleepers! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today. I'm thrilled to be here at yours!

Nadine - thanks for stopping by and leaving me such a sweet comment. I thought I would answer your question on your blog, too - in case you did not go back to my blog and check for my answer! :)

I am writing a book about the healing power of Jesus in my marriage and my family - things I learned, things I am still learning - in hopes of encouraging other women to seek God for the restoration of their marriage!

Congratulations are in order for everything! You've been a busy lady. :-) I'm glad you got the awards...you deserve them both. I also love to read all of your husband's kind comments. It's so sweet!
And the new look of your blog is very nice. I really like it! Thanks for your kind comment and for offering prayers for us at this stage in life...it's very challenging.

I'm glad things went well. When God has a message, he'll certainly guide you in delivering it, using your own unique talents.

I love the new look of your blog.

shiok, there's an old joke that if someone doesn't like a speaker/singer/stage actor, they'll "boo" and throw tomatoes at them - definitely NOT a sign of success! I'm not sure how the tomato idea started, but rest assured that here in the United States, we don't generally go around with a bunch of produce in our handbags.

Again, yay for Nadine!

No tomatoes???? I was thinking that if they did throw tomatoes...I'd find a new church for your to speak at!!!! :) So glad it went well.....way to step out of the box of comfort...in your ministry! You are a very good story teller--I'm not surprised you did such a great job with public speaking.

I am so thrilled that no one threw a tomato (I didn't think they would)...How cool that you have a husband that stretches you in areas that might be not so comfortable for you.

Thank you for sharing, my dear friend.

Blessings on your 4th of July and always.

I love your new look! It's perfect!

I bet you were wonderful, if you were as expressive as you are on your blog, you had to do good.

I had to preach before, back in my minstry days. I was always so nervous, that I never remembered what I said when it was over. :)
