I’m tired of this cold/flu that will not go away. I was sick before our trip to Dallas and then I got better. Since yesterday I have the plague again. I came home from work early today. This head cold/flu is wearing me out.
I have to mention that I have the best husband in the world. I called him and said I was coming home early. He cancelled a meeting to stay home and take care of me. I walked in the door to a hot cup of tea. He went out to the store and got me medicine. He’s just been taking such good care of me. Thanks honey. Here’s the topper he’s not feeling well either. His cough is still lingering.
This too shall pass. The good news is it’s only the flu and with time and rest it will get better.
Hope you all are doing well.

I love you Babe, I hope you feel better soon.

oh... I hope you feel better really soon!
I've been out of blog-touch so long, I had to catch up.
First, I guess i didn't realize you were writing a book...will have to go back through your posts and see what that is all about. My adopted mom (I didn't adopt her, she adopted me...lol) was the editor for Marilyn Hickey for years...more like ghost writer, and now helps my girl friend out who is an editor struggling with clients. People take their work way too personal and have issues when it comes right down to editing. They have to work at setting their feelings aside and look at the big picture...like you said - trust.
Second...Rodeo. Man, I missed it this year. I was pretty bummed. I was supposed to go Thursday, but my bff canceled so I went to work instead...should have gone boarding. *sigh*
Third...pastor's wives. My foster parents pastored a church. It was such an eye-opening experience for me. I watched my foster mom go through so much and smile through it all; however, it didn't always stay bottled up...unfortunately. We had so many pastors come through and stay with us. I felt honored to be able to sit among them and gleen from their biblical wisdom (aka pick their brains). My foster dad called me the great debater 'cause I made sure everything they said lined up with scripture...and challenged them a few times. My foster mom was always embarassed, but my foster dad just sat back and smiled. Unfortunately, I could see their pain too. Of course, as a foster child, I had uncanny discernment (survival tactic gained from silence in the midst of the unknown). They knew it too, so even as a teen, I was able to minister back to them. Your 1/27 post reminded me of that and how I've not stepped up to the plate when needed. I've sat in the back (so to speak) and have been an observer rather than a participator. I do my duties as a pastor within my congregation, but I haven't given my all...and I'm realizing that now.
Finally, I'm praying for your healing. (Airborne and Zicam...that's all I have to say!) :)
ps. I'm glad your citywide prayer is still going strong. I have written it on my bathroom mirror so I daily remember to pray for it.
Many blessings,
Kate
The thing that's been going around this year is like that: It comes and goes. I had it in November, thought I was over it and then in December it came back. And it was not fun!
I hope you feel better soon!
Yes the flu would go away but you know what? Your love towards each just get stronger day by day :D
There's so much junk going around here, too. I hope you feel better soon! And that I don't get it. Is that selfish??
I hope you're feeling better. Get lots of rest.
Oh no...you know what...I thought your other blog was a book club...lol. I looked at it a couple times and thought...I'm too far behind to catch up now. :D oops. I'll check it out...how exciting!
awww, what a good hubby! feel better soon!
awwww now that is sweet! kudos to your hubby for being there for you!
Nadine, I hope you feel better soon. The attention your husband gave you can't hurt. Love is a wonderful thing, is it not? Blessings to you both - Jennifer
Nadine, I found a site and the guy there sounds like he could use a visit from people strong in their faith. The site is
joeyjoejoejrshabadoo.blogspot.com
He is a funny christian guy with off the wall humor (I like stuff like that) but I think a kind word right now might help? I think you are a gentle and Godly woman. A visit from someone like you could be a bright spot in anyone's day! Thanks for visiting recently. Jennifer
TC and get well soon Nadine!

Being sick is no fun. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Oh, Nadine, I feel for ya! I have had a flu for about a week now. It's miserable. Good thing Tom is taking good care of you. Hope you feel better soon -- like -- the next hour!
Sounds like you're in good hands. ;)
Thanks for coming over to visit my romance story in the midst of your malaise. Hope you're feeling better!
