Update & an Award

This week has been a trying one for me. I have gone to work and managed through the busyness of the day, come home and collapse in pure exhaustion. Today, with Tom’s help I went food shopping. It was difficult on my back all that walking around. Tom went food shopping with me and made sure I took many breaks. He wanted to go instead of me but I prefer to go myself. There is always something I forget to write on the list, but when I see it, I’m reminded that it’s needed. He didn’t let me load or unload anything and insisted I rest when I got home.

The problem with pain is that it occupies most of my brain cells. I find myself void of creativity and it’s bothering me. Through all of this what has been cemented in my heart is how wonderful my husband is. He’s been taking great care of me. I want to thank you honey for all you have done.

I would like to thank SaraLynn of Kooky Kids for the Blog of Distinction Award. The rules states to award this award to five blogs that make you laugh, cry, think or sigh. Those of you who are new to my blog might not know how difficult it is for me to pick just five blogs to give this award to. I read too many good blogs that elicit those very emotions in me. If it’s okay with SaraLynn, I’ll like to give to all of you who comment on this post. Claim your prize and post your award. I love you guys and gals.

How sweet! Isn't nice to have a hubby take such good care of you?
You listen to him and get plenty of rest.

No, I don't mind that you give it to everyone, that is a very generous gesture!

Have a great day Nadine!!

Somehow I missed the last post - so sorry!! So many seem to be in back pain these days. I've been having lower back discomfort myself, but not serious yet. I hope it gets better soon!! I'm glad Tom is taking such good care of you. Don't worry about us - we're not going away!

Glad hubby could help you out!!
and I know rest is good, but sometimes makes back pain worse if you're laying in the same spot all the time! you need a hot tub!!!! always helps my back *w*

Hey friend...I am so sorry that your back is still hurting so badly. Heed your hubby's advice and rest. Of course, we both know your hubby would not generally take his own advice, but you are much smarter than that aren't you! :-)

Love you too, TOM!

Oh Nadine, I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you got some rest today. I will do any gardening you want girl. I am just ecstatic you’re thinking about it.
You have one very enthusiastic gardening friend here! I eventually get to all my friends in this area, my secret mission.

I'm the same way at the supermarket. I have a list of 5 items and come home with 25. I wonder, how did THAT happen??

I'm so glad you have a loving husband who takes care of you (and shops w/ you!). Wow! I should have my husband read your blog!!

Congrats on the award. I just realized I rec'd one, too, from SaraLynn. She's very sweet.

Rest up and feel better and know that we love you, too! :)

Hi Nadine,

I'm finally beginning to surface again, and I stopped by your blog first for a visit. Oh my! You poor thing! I will be praying for you. Rest / sleep are healing. So listen to your husband. :) My daughter was reading your blog over my shoulder and asking me questions. I explained to her that you and your husband have a really good marriage. Praise be to God! :) Our world needs more godly marriage examples. :)

I understand all about the need to shop for groceries. I often leave something off the list and see it at the store later also. When I was in the midst of the play and very busy, I had to leave the shopping to my husband and daughter who did a super job - even though the list was incomplete.

I'm glad you won that award. It is well deserved.
