47

Today is my 47th birthday. My how the years go by quickly when you start having kids. This past year has been a world wind or was that just these last few months. I can't believe we are packing up our home and moving to Texas in less than two weeks. My first novel is in the process of being published. Life is not boring.

The last eight years here have been great. I will always look back on my memories here fondly. The people we leave behind are wonderful. I love you all. I expect lots of hugs before we leave. You can read my husband's blog about our move here.

I look ahead and see lots of boxes in my future and lots of driving. I love Tom and life with him is not dull. I'm getting to see the United States from coast to coast. I love you dearly and I look forward to our new adventure together.

Today, a break from all the packing and a nice dinner awaits me with my honey. I'm grateful to God for my loving husband, my children, family and friends. I'm not sure what the future holds in Texas, but I'm in His hands and that's a good place to be. If the past 47 years have taught me anything it is that God is good and He loves me.

I didn't leave a message yesterday, because I couldn't find the comment link. Weird! Happy Mutual Birthday - yesterday!

Have fun packing! I moved numerous times as a kid (being a p.k.), but have not packed up and moved for 30 years now. Yikes - I need to at least pretend we're moving to get rid of some of this amazing amount of accumulation of "junk."

Happy Birthday Nadine. My Dad's birthday is on the 26th and he just turned 76 years old. He is still active and healthy and travelling with his honey as much as he can.
A new move can be scary but exciting too. I'm glad you are looking forward to your move as a new adventure and not a sad thing. What great new things you will see and wonderful people you will meet. New friends and another place for you to call home.
Thanks for giving encouragement for me about my son's cancer. I also thank you for offering to read some of my beginner's book efforts. Once you are moved in and settled a little, maybe I can email you a segment or two and see what you think. I will gladly accept any scrutiny and suggestions you might offer.
Good traveling to you and touch base when you are settled.

I missed this last week...sorry.
I hope your birthday was fantastic. May your new year be filled with much more blessing that you've ever had. May you overflow with abundance that the people around you are touched. May the middle third of your life be ever greater than the former third (since we are promised long life). God bless your journey. Open your eyes wide and enjoy the journey...I'll certainly enjoy reading about it.
Many blessings.

Happy BELATED Birthday my friend!! I am SOOOOOO behind on blog reading. :( Or I would have been by a lot sooner. I'm bummed you're moving, but I still have hopes to meet you and see Texas. Now I have a reason to visit. :) I hope your Bday was fabulous....you deserve nothing less. And how cool to say you've published a BOOK? That just rules. xo.

Nadine I am so happy that you can celebrate your life with so much adventure and joy in knowing the realities of loving Jesus. I'm reading backwards here, so bear with me. Wow Texas. That is quite a change for WA. God is going to use your GO'Diva spirit for sure.
