CBS Shame On You

Imagine a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon watching your football team - NY Giants - beat the crud out of the Baltimore Ravens. When suddenly in the 4th quarter with 14 minutes left they switch to another football game. That’s right! All of sudden we’re watching Houston and Denver. Sure I’m in Texas, but they should have shown that game to begin with. Seriously! What were they thinking? That is just all kinds of wrong.

Who do you even complain to? Do you call your local cable company or CBS? It made me mad. Tom and I were enjoying the game. The Giants were finally playing pretty. It was going to be a pretty win. The last several weeks they won, but it wasn’t pretty.

This game was beautiful. These are Superbowl Champions. You shouldn’t treat champions that way or their fans. Fans for years were faithful to their team, regardless how terrible they played. Finally – they are a team to contend with and 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter you get switched to another game.

CBS should be ashamed of themselves.

End of rant. Have a nice day.

It makes no sense at all and I've seen it happen while my hubby's Patriots were playing one year, and no, it was NOT pretty!

That's why we went with Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket. You shouldn't have to pay extra for this sort of thing, but it makes my husband happy. :)

That IS so not right. And I do remember that happening to us last season. I can see why your ticked!
Ok, done with my rant too.
Have a great week.

I agree 100% about switching games...

But Nadine... oh, my... I live in New England. As in New England Patriots. Need I say more?!

ps we have a very close friend who grew up in Pittsburgh (diehard Steelers fan) who worked for the Redskins and then got hired by the New York Giants prior to last season! He is now a Giants fan... much to the chagrin of his Pittsburgh friends and family (including Audrey's husband!). Now, if the Patriots aren't in the Super Bowl (like no chance!)... I would love to see what happens if the Steelers play the Giants. Ouch!

Okay that basically bites. I am a Cowboys fan myself, but I come from NJ and my dad is a Giants fan. Still not showing the end of the game...what were they thinking.

Did you ever hear of the Heidi game? Look it up, it is basically about this happening to fans I think it was Oakland.

What a shame to miss the very end of the game. I would be upset too and I don't even watch football.
It seems like you were in the middle of a move recently or are you still doing that? Anyway, hope all went well. I haven't been checking blogs during the week as things have been so hectic.
I may have a section of the first decent draft of my book ready to review soon. There is still alot of work to do and more I need to add but at least it's enough to get the jest of the story.
My cousin is looking at it right now and then if you don't mind seeing a rough draft and giving honest comments, I would be the one who is honored.
How is your book publishing going? Is it buyable yet? I am still interested in reading your book when it is for sale.

I would have cried... of course I wouldn't have found myself in that situation since the Hawks seem determined to loose no matter how much it looks like they may have a fighting chance :0)))) !

I'd be mad too. Tell the Cowboys to get their own channel. (I'm not a sports fan at all but I'd still be mad if I were watching the game.)

That would be very frustrating! I don't know who you should complain to. I'm sure you'll never be a Dallas fan!

We would be beside ourselves if that happened to our team. My husband would have a coronary.

I don't watch sports in general really, but if that were to happen to a show I were watching I too would rant and rave about it!!! Grr...especially if you wanted to see the end of it, like what was going to happen. Come to think of it, that happened yesterday while we were watching "Chuck", we had it recorded on our PVR and for some reason the end of the show was masked by the beginning of another show. THAT was annoying, now we don't know what happened...I guess it was an episode where we get to imagine our own ending, and they forgot to tell us b4hand. Grrumph
