The Blank Page

The blank page can be a writer’s worst nightmare. A clean canvas waiting for a story to form on it shouldn't be so scary. The blank page anticipates the weaving of the author’s imagination. Why would something that is pure and clean cause heartache? When words don’t seem to form it’s heartbreaking. You feel lost. You feel like you've lost it . . . or maybe it’s just me.

The last time I wrote a blog post it was over a month ago. It’s not because I haven’t attempted to write something. I feel blocked. I feel as unoccupied as the page that stares back at me. I’m not sure what is going on.

So how do I get “over it?” I’m not quite sure. I hope that the flood gates of creativity come pouring out of the heavens and into my spirit.

Maybe this little post is the beginning of the end of The Blank Page.

Have you ever tried those writers' workbooks? They sell them at Barnes and Noble and other big booksellers.

I feel you - I haven't written in a long time either.

You will be in my prayers. That sounds cheesy, but I'm just now starting to learn the value of praying for the little things in life and not just the life and death things.

Missing you, as I said. But I totally understand. Your words will return!

I understand, although I'm not a writer. I know when I offered my question/answer posts it got my juices flowing again. I had to really dig into my past for some of the questions.

I know what you mean, I also have been going through this, but my life is changing and the pages are turning...when the time is right the words will flow from your fingertips!:)
Be Blessed Nadine!

Right there with you. For me, it's just the season - so much activity to take my creativity away. Or, even when I'm feeling creative, I'm too tired or just don't have the time to sit.

Praying you find "it" again soon!

I trust this post will bring the flow back. Sometimes I think it's God's design for us to be in a more taking mode than giving out. Perhaps He has wanted you to "take in" from others for awhile.

I have missed you, too, but I completely understand! I am slowly emerging from writers block myself! It's not fun.
