I Want to Know What Love Is

Last week my hubby was away at a conference. Every night there was some activity or another to keep me busy. I taught a class on dreams one night and ran the book club another. I had a couple of young gals come over for a movie and the ladies from our church went to pizza and a movie. One of the ladies called me for a mani/pedi and lunch. The week seemed to go very slowly even with all that activity.

Tom is home now and I’m glad to have him back. We did lots of Facebook flirting while he was gone as well as talk on the phone. If you are on Facebook with your husband, I highly recommend Facebook flirting. We wrote messages to each other and how much we missed each other. He even posted a love song on his page. I love him. I don’t mind telling the whole world.

Love after 31 years together gets stronger. I can honestly say I’m more in love with him now than I ever was. We are often mistaken for newlyweds when we are out. I think it’s the way we stare in each other’s eyes. When I want to know what love is, I look in Tom’s eyes. Not only do I see his love for me, but I see his love for God. It’s that love that gets us through the tough days and makes the good days great. It’s that love that grows and becomes stronger.

I hope you enjoy this video by Mariah Carey and the song Tom dedicated to me last week. Here’s the thing about this song – you can easily sing it to God as well as a loved one.

You guys are so sweet. My husband and I send each other texts but Facebook would be another avenue to use!

Not only do you bless each other with your love but you bless others too. I find your relationship inspirational.

I'm going to call my Sweet Heart now.

LOL! I love the first comment. 30+ years and still like newlyweds, that's awesome. I pray that my hubby and I experience the same. We're only 8 yrs old.

Have a blessed day and thanks for being an inspiration. I see couples in our church who have been married for a very long time and that in itself is a good testimony but I don't see the spark and I'm glad it is still there for you.

Now I don't only know it is possible in my head but I can say that there's this couple I read about online who still have it.

God bless you.

Nadine, "All You Need is Love" and you and Tom certainly got it! It's inspiring to watch. Beautiful song. Thanks for sharing.
I'm not a lurker any more. =)

I wish I could see the video. I can't see any lately, so my computer is definitely missing something.

As for you and Tom, you both aren't missing a thing. I love the way you love each other. It's so perfect and sweet...and inspirational!

PS - I'll have to do more FB flirting! :)

its a nice song, I seen her sing this on "the View" last week! I am still partial to the 80's version by tina Turner though;)

I think its wonderful and how lucky you are to have such a beautiful marriage!

I love it when I find other couples who are truly in love with their spouse no matter how long they've been together. My husband and I have that kind of love and when you mentioned looking into his eyes and seeing the love there, I knew you had it too. We do the exact same thing and we tell each other what kind of love we have for each other. My husband tells me he is "in" love with me and loves "only" me and etc. etc. Those things just add to the love we both already know and share together. Thanks for sharing your love and showing others that kind of love is possible.
